MISSION STATEMENT
Enriching
the lives of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing by opening up a world of future
opportunities and personal enjoyment in the game of golf by providing quality
instruction in American Sign Language (ASL).
The Deaf & Hard of Hearing Services of Northwest Florida, Inc. (DHHS), a non-profit 501 (c)(3) agency, offers a wide range of services and programs for Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Hearing, DeafBlind and Speech Impaired individuals to make it possible for all to communicate in the community. In Bay, Escambia, Holmes, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, and Walton Counties, the estimated number of Deaf and Hard of Hearing is over 68,000 in the northwest of the state of Florida. DHHS is based in Pensacola. Our services and programs included Interpreter Services, Specialized Equipment Services, Children & Youth Services and Community Services. The program is funded by United Way of Escambia County Inc., United Way of Santa Rosa County, Inc., corporations and private donations.
